I was born in Texas, raised mostly in California , I have lived in Oklahoma and New Mexico as well. My husband of 10 years, and our three children have settled here in Tennessee and are enjoying the diversity of people and the beauty of this state.
Formally and informally taught, I have over 20 years of experience with art of various mediums.I attended Tulsa Jr. College and was trained by my mother and other artists over the years. I am trained in watercolor, pencil, colored pencil, ink, oils, acrylic, sculpting (paper, clays, and wire) and carving eggs. I have even experimented with glass! All mediums have a different aesthetic to them, and are fascinating to me.I plain and simple LOVE art! Murals have become a great way for me to share the characters which bloom in my mind, and a way to share the imagination!
My mother was an artist and created several cartoon characters which had wonderful stories behind them. I grew up hearing fantastic tales of bravery, joy, love and courage with characters right out of her imagination. My mother was accomplished in various art mediums as well as having attended Oral Roberts University.
Sadly, my mothers dreams of her cartoons entertaining other children, was cut short due to a long battle with breast cancer. I knew, that part of keeping imagination alive, and instruction she gave was within me.I chose to carry on the tradition of dreaming.I thank the Lord for His encouragement and inspiration on the path that was laid out for me.
I believe art should be fun, amazing and capture the imagination of every person. Look around your blank space and see a transformation take place before your very eyes!
